Wedding Mood Boards
I’m going to let you in on a tool that has helped me time-and-time again in comunicating ideas and/or a vision to my clients and suppliers. My photographer told me about it and now I can’t get enough of it. It’s the most functional tool in the creative process between a wedding planner and his/her bride and groom. It helps keep the vision alive and keeps suppliers on-track and in-tune to what the bride and groom are looking for. It’s versatile and interchangeable.
It’s a Mood Board. Defined as “an arrangement of images, materials, pieces of text, etc. intended to evoke or project a particular style or concept.” It does exactly that…conveys a mood, a colour, a sense of what you are trying to create in terms of wedding style. It certainly helps convey visibly where words may come short. It gives direction and creates the perfect synergy so that all members involved are working in the proper direction. So the next time you find yourself in a creative bind try creating your mood board…your clients will love you for it and your suppliers will love it!!!
